spring valley

 the spring valley nature preserve is right across the street from where we live. we go walking/running (/frog hunting) there three or four times every week. 

the pond in the middle of the preserve has tons of frogs and tadpoles. so nasty. and last week, we saw a raccoon! he ran under the wooden path we were walking on, and started hissing from right underneath us! i ran.

there are miles of paths, going around the pond, through the woods and prairie, and to volkering farm.

todd likes feeding the farm animals almost as much as catching the frogs. our kids will be lucky to have him, because i only look at animals. no touching.
