i haven't done much decorating for our current apartment. knowing that we are moving in less than six months, i don't really want to move a lot of excess decor. (but trust me, i'm way excited to decorate the new place!)
the bed however, has issues that must be fixed now. it is a random mix of the new duvet and shams i bought recently, with my old college shams, pillow, and bed skirt (the stripes). i don't think they go. but i don't know what does.
the ideas from the pottery barn catalog are pretty... but... i don't know. i so like the all white. maybe i should just go for all white. i like the porcelain blues and vivid greens of the other room, but i'm not a huge fan of toile. or matchy-match rooms that look like they came from a catalog.
... any good ideas?

What you have now works just fine but if you don't LOVE it then you need to change it up. I like all white bedding with a colorful quilt at the bottom. Or fun pillows. Remember that green damask one you liked at Gardner Village?? I liked that. I really like the pottery barn duvet and shams you have now. I
Yes to all white. I just got new white bedding and love it so much. To give a little color/contrast I have patterned sheets and pillows behind the shams (similar idea to yours). i love your style- whatever you decide will look great.
