charlottesville

we went to virginia last weekend to check out another school. we both expected to enjoy it... but we LOVED it. charlottesville was amazing, the school was even better, and the people were even better than that! we had such a great time, i only had a chance to take like one picture, which is above.

we spent all day friday getting persuaded to choose darden, making lots of friends, and finding out how much an MBA costs (a lot). on saturday, we found a potential place to live and drove up to manassas to see cousins nikki and dave. after a quick day visiting them, playing lots of games and eating great food, we were back to the airport.

i consider it divine intervention that our trip ended up as it did. i accidentally selected to travel through baltimore instead of the washington dulles airport, adding an extra hour's drive to our trip. we weren't happy about it initially, but it worked out because dulles had delays and cancellations, and baltimore didn't. the weather had been horrendous the previous week, but when we got there it was all cleared up... and we flew out before the next storm came through.

and BONUS! we got to do a quick driving tour of dc on our way out!

I can't believe you were just in Charlottesville! I live only an hour away!! I'm so glad you loved it! I have a million wonderful things to say about that place. If you go again, you have to see Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's home). UVA campus is so beautiful too! Oh, I REALLY hope Todd goes to school there...how cool would it be to live so close to each other?!

I love the east coast. I am excited to find out where you will finally end up. Wherever it is we will have to come visit.
