proud

for the past two months, todd has been prepping for the GMAT. he took a three-hour class downtown twice a week for seven weeks. he woke up just about every saturday at 6 to take practice tests and study. aside from friday nights (and even sometimes friday nights) he spent every weeknight studying, too. when we went away for my birthday, i drove and he studied in the car.

at church, he got a new calling that eats up his sundays (financial clerk). he's done his home teaching, helped people move (including us), and taken the sacrament to the elderly ladies who can't make it to church. he also spoke in sacrament meeting-- he probably could have thrown together a great talk the night before, but he takes his church responsibilities very seriously. he halted studying for an entire week, during the critical time at the end, to prepare his talk. the following weekend, he watched every session of general conference live. and he made sure we went to the temple at least twice each month.

this week, he caught some awful bug. that, or he has severe allergies. he has been so sick he stayed home from work for 3 days and he's not going to church today. he sounds awful. but he still took the GMAT yesterday, and he did great. he'll be able to apply anywhere he wants and have a good shot at getting in. todd will just tell you he was blessed, because he's modest. i'm certain blessings had a big hand in it.

but i also think he's awesome.

Todd is one of the best guys out there. You are so lucky to have him. Congrats! I am excited to see where you guys end up going to school. It will be fun to come visit you. And as soon as Jett gets a little older I will for sure be coming to visit!
