It seems like life has been so busy for us since the day we got engaged two years ago... it never stops! We are trying to make an extra effort to slow down, spend time together, and enjoy Charlottesville while we are here. This is a really unique stage in our life and it will be over in just a year. We absolutely love where we are, busy-ness and all, and are trying to enjoy every minute.
This evening, we took a walk up to The Lawn on UVa's main grounds. It started raining just a little bit, and the few people who were on the lawn went inside. After a little walk, we sat on the back steps of The Rotunda listening to the slightest pitter-patter of rain and watching hundreds of little fireflies flitting around the trees... it was so peaceful and beautiful.
There is no better place to watch fireflies dance than among the trees and columns at Mr. Jefferson's University.

Charlottesville looks so incredible Riss, I'm glad you guys are soaking it up! I too feel the need to slow down sometimes because life can change so quicky. Bloom where you're planted huh?! :) Great post & pics of you two!
