Spring Break: Week 2

Todd had two full weeks off for Spring Break. I still had to work, but we took a few days off to head north to see DC and visit family.

We went to downtown DC for one day. About 6 hours total, if that. We saw the Declaration of Independence/Constitution/Bill of Rights in the National Archives and walked on the National Mall. Sadly, the Cherry Blossoms weren't quite out yet.

The most interesting thing we saw in DC (besides the historical stuff) was the parking situation at the courthouse. People literally pulled up in front of the courthouse and parked. In the middle of the lane. I have never seen such craziness.

We spent most of our time hanging out with Todd's cousin Nikki and her husband David.  On Monday, Todd and I were planning to go the DC Temple. Going to the temple is about a 5 hour drive for us, so it's been a while. Nikki asked if we might want to wait a day or two to go.

Sure... why?

Because she and David were getting sealed!

Family members flew in at a moment's notice, and two days later we went to the temple for their ceremony. It was beautiful, and they were so happy. And yesterday, Nikki gave birth to their first child! It's been a great couple of weeks for the Wheelers.

Below are all the pictures I took so family can save them directly from here.
Congrats David and Nikki (and Little Miss)!

Marissa - thank you so much for posting all the wonderful pictures of Nikki's sealing! That is so awesome that you and Todd got to be there with them for that special day. :) Thanks again!
