well... here we go!

all i needed was a wardrobe box, but the couple in line in front of me at the provo uhaul center seemed to be renting pretty much the whole store. bored, i listened to their conversation with the salesperson and tried to decipher their tattoos. they were moving across the country that day. their loaded moving truck was waiting outside, and they needed a car trailer to tow their little white sedan so they could be on their way.

after several minutes of signing and contract talk, the salesperson handed over the keys to the car trailer. as they left the counter, the guy turned to the girl, sighed, the said excitedly, "well... here we go!"

and i was instantly jealous.

a few days before this, i had watched todd drive away, alone, for his new life in chicago. i had no idea how much his leaving would affect me. and i was insanely jealous of tattoo couple, going off on a new adventure together.

i bought my wardrobe box and cried all the way home.

two summers later, todd and i are leaving chicagoland (tomorrow!) for our new adventures on the east coast. it's unknown and new and a little bit scary but mostly very fun and exciting because this time we're together. and, well... here we go!

I like it when you do posts like this that make me cry. This reminds me so much of all the times Josh and I packed up and moved around the country. Each time was scary but so exciting. I can't wait to hear all about it!!! You seriously need to post everyday. And you said your design blog is coming back in the fall and I am holding you to that. I can't wait!
