February and since.

We had a quiet Valentine's Day, exchanged little gifts and had dinner at what used to be our favorite restaurant. We basically liked one dish so much that we went back all the time-- truffle frites. Yes, we went there solely for a side dish. So I got Todd truffle salt and truffle-infused olive oil so I could try to make the fries at home. (It worked marvelously, they are GOOD.)

Last weekend, we went to the shooting range with our friends Andrew and Michelle, who taught us how to shoot skeet. I expected to both hate it and suck at it, but consented to try a few rounds. It was actually a blast (ha.) and we didn't suck.

Todd won the prize for hitting a double (clay pigeons coming from both houses/sides at the same time) and I won for percentage of discs hit.  I was seriously not bad, especially considering I've only shot a gun once, 15 years ago!

We've lived in Raleigh for 8 months now, and I find new reasons to like it all the time. My theory is that it usually takes 6 months to warm up to a new place and another 6 months to like it. I'm crazy about the climate, and it's ward enough now that the frogs/bugs "sing" at night. Warm nights here in the South are LOUD, I love it. We found an awesome park with bench swings along the trails...and went there twice this weekend. Mainly, we love our ward. It's probably our best yet.

Todd likes his new rotation and co-workers. He's on rotation #2, which is in the supply chain area (first one was in sales & marketing). He'll be there for 4 months, then do a short rotation in the tax area before we go to Copenhagen!

We'll leave July-ish and be there for 6 months. Neither of us has ever been there, but I anticipate loving it. Can't wait!!

I never thought I would like shooting a gun either... turns out it's a "blast!"
