Don't Mess.

I spent last weekend with the LDS Darden wives--Emily, Kyra, and Mallory--at the Teuscher's house in Dallas. Summary of the weekend: girls talked, babies screamed. (Kyra was so overwhelmed by the hysterical crying one day that she fell asleep in the car just to escape it.) Those kids are adorable, but my goodness.

After that introduction, I'll probably fail to convince you that I had a good time. But I did. We did some shopping, mansion-ogling, eating, and visiting the 6th Floor Museum (very cool, see the faded X on the street where JFK was shot?).

But mostly, I was just happy to see these girls! We all have similar situations, struggles, and stresses. Just chatting and hanging out with them was wonderful.

Such a cute little screamer. Claire wanted nothing to do with me, but Kellan was my smiley little bud. And Blake is still the most devious (hilarious) kid I know.

This trip made me realize how good I have it. Post-Darden life is certainly not the reverie I imagined. But I need to stop postponing peace and happiness for "when _______" (pay off our school loans, find our friend niche, go to Europe, etc.). Mine are such First-world Problems, it's insane. I'm grateful for friends who understand!

I'm glad we were able to all make it. We'll definitely have to make our way to you soon!
