Futbol & Goats

On Friday night, we went to our first UVa soccer game with our friends Dustin, Mallory, and Tom. I'm not a huge fan of soccer--I find it kind of long and boring. But the game got pretty intense at the end! We were sitting next to the crazy student cheering section... they were jumping around screaming cheers/songs the entire game! UVa won, beating a previously undefeated team. We don't really feel much affinity for the Virginia Cavaliers, since Todd's school is pretty separate from the main school. But hey, Go 'Hoos!

Saturday morning, Todd was feeling the pressure. He has a BUNCH of interviews this month-- more than we anticipated, which is both great and stressful. He's also in the middle of finals for his first quarter. So to clear his mind before he hit the books for the rest of the day, we went for a little drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Every time we go driving in the mountains, Todd hopes to see wildlife but it has never happened. He got a little bit of his wish fulfilled--we saw these goats hanging out right on the side of the road! The picture is blurry, but you can see their different horns and how close they were to the car. It's nearly mid-October and the leaves are still barely tinged yellow even up in the mountains, I love the long fall!
