Last Day in Seattle

The last day we spent in Seattle, I met my brother at the Pacific Science Center. We went specifically to see a special exhibit of costumes and props from Harry Potter. Richard volunteered to sit under the Sorting Hat and was sorted into his favorite house, Slytherin. I wish I had pictures, but they had a strict no-phone/camera policy.

The HP exhibit was cool, but we cruised through and finished the whole thing in 15 minutes, so we checked out the rest of PacSci. We loved going there as kids, so it was fun to walk around together as adults... though the museum wasn't as amazing as I remembered. I'm just glad I was able to do something with Richard before we left.

I had some time to kill after Richard headed home and before Todd could come pick me up, so I wandered around the Space Needle. Forgive the horrible photo, but how could I hang around the base of the Space Needle for an hour and not have proof?

Now we are home, and so glad to be back to our normal routine. After a LONG break, Todd starts school again tomorrow. He has had a few internship interviews already and felt really good about most of them, so we're hopeful he gets a few offers to choose from (though one offer would be good enough!).

It's amazing how fast Charlottesville has come to feel like home. We really love it here. We went for a long walk along the Thomas Jefferson Parkway trail on Saturday, and it was so beautiful even in the middle of winter. Todd said he is already starting to be sad that we will probably have to leave Charlottesville when he graduates. Ummm.... I started being sad at the prospect of leaving Charlottesville the day we got here! We are really enjoying every minute.

I love coming home after a long trip. It's the best (except for the unpacking)

Yeah Charlottesville is so pretty! I was driving past it on Saturday on my way to Kristen's house for the evening and I thought, "too bad I don't have Marissa's number, then I could just pick her up on the way and we could have a little reunion." :) I hope you are doing good!
