chocolate & frogs

i've been sick for the past several days, and i was pretty antsy to get out of the house. so yesterday, we went to this cute little town near us, long grove, for the annual chocolate festival. we're not really sure where the "chocolate" part of "chocolate festival" factored in. there were just about zero chocolate vendors. but we walked through the town park, across its covered bridge, and got some good bratwurst and a gyro.

and just like the trip we took to long grove last year, we also stopped by volo bog state nature area. volo bog reminds us of tom marvolo riddle, and we always say it in a funny voice. cuz we're dorks like that. but really it has nothing to do with harry potter. it's just a nice forest preserve.

we walked around the floating path, and todd found two frogs! he caught one of them. i took a picture after he promised not to put it near me or let it jump at me.
