that afternoon, we took a 10-minute ferry across the bay to the hotel's private island, palomino. the island had warm, turquoise water, white sand beaches, and was surrounded by shallow reefs on one end. perfect.
todd loved walking out on the reefs. i spent most of my day watching him from the shore, afraid he would get sucked out by a rogue wave or eaten by the sharks. the deepest water i got in was up to my knees, and there were two-foot sharks swimming around. (yes, i freaked out when i saw them. and stomped around in the water to scare them away. then ran away. )
i forgot to charge the camera battery, so i didn't get many pictures of palomino island. i should have taken pictures of the sunburns we got that day-- we thought we were being so responsible, but we got fried.

Reece and I THOUGHT we were putting on sunscreen the first day of our honeymoon. Turns out, it was after-sun lotion. Needless to say, we were in so much pain we wanted to sleep in separate beds. Great way to stay chaste, right? Your pictures are fabulous, and I am so glad you had a wonderful wedding/honeymoon!
