Narrowing the Field

Guess what?

(I’m not pregnant. Why is that always the first guess?)

Todd got an internship offer!

Yay! Hooray! I am proud of him, and he is so relieved. He hasn’t accepted the offer yet because he has a couple other companies he’s still interviewing with, but we will decide very soon where he will be for the Summer. Internships often lead to full-time offers, so where he does his internship could be where we go after graduation. The good news for me is that nearly all of the internships would be in the SOUTH, and my goal in life is to stay below the Mason-Dixon Line.

Todd is currently out of town interviewing with a company in the other Portland (Maine). He says I would fall in love with the city and I trust him, though that’s hard to believe I would love a place that’s freezing and buried in snow like 9 months of the year (and it’s above The Line). But I bet I could fall for the New England charm. And it would be a good excuse to stock up on cute boots.

Cross your fingers the huge blizzard won’t impede his flights home tomorrow!

Congrats to Todd (and you Marissa). Getting an internship (or job) is a joint effort in a marriage.

Take it from me, the NE is great... but during this time of year the South looks ever more enticing.

Options are good!

Congratulations!! You must be so proud of him. You will have to keep me updated! (I'm with you on the Maine thing by the way!)
