remains of nalgene bottle, glass cup, drips of what once was a plastic cup
this afternoon, todd called me to let me know he was coming home and bringing his home teaching companion with him. our house was clean, but there were a few dishes in the sink. i hate dishes in the sink, and i hate even more for guests to see them. the dishwasher was full, and i didn't have time to wash them. i remembered an old trick of my mom's-- stash them in the oven! genious!
and i forgot about them... until i was was pre-heating the oven to broil some bruschetta for dinner.
anybody know how to clean up melted plastic?

HAHA!! Oh man! I'm sorry about your cups! I hope your mom doesn't mind you outing her...good trick though! Thanks for the laugh :)
haha, I love it! Good idea with the stashing, but I probably would have done the same thing. I never look in the oven before I preheat it!
HAHAHAHAHA this is my favorite thing EVER. Sorry 'bout the clean-up, that looks like it will be a pain!
Must be a family thing because I've used that trick many a time! And it is always great...until it's not. :( No tips on the plastic though... but still an epic and awesome story! :)
That is hilarious. We were up at the cabin when Josh showed me this post and we showed my whole family. Love it. I do stupid stuff all the time. Most recently I spray painted in the house and we had to open all the windows and flee the house so we didn't get toxic poisoning.
