in the spirit of thanksgiving, i’ve been thinking of reasons to be grateful for where we live. i never desired to visit chicago, let alone live here. but like most things to which i am initially resistant, chicagoland has turned out to be really cool.
i like where we live for many reasons. one of those is that we’re within minutes of every store my little non-trust-fund heart desires (except downeast, shade, deseret book, and tai pan). it’s seriously fantastic, all the stores that are so close to us… not even counting downtown!

the moral of this story is that it’s a good thing i’m really cheap. and if you visit, shopping will definitely be on the itinerary.

WOW!!! How do you have any money left? I have to go 40 min to get to Home Goods. It's such a pain but I do it about two times a moth. Love that store.
Seriously I need to come visit again and have another fantastic shopping spree! Gilly Hicks... totally bril! (not to mention the 2 stories of H&M... heaven!)
